On March 10, 2018, Mr Dominic Newbould*, representative of EV Trust, shared information and experience about the Chevening scholarship program of the British Government to Vietnamese students in Hà Nội.

This was among activities to promote EV Trust in Việt Nam. Trần Thanh Hải, who was in charge of the ‘Nurturing Talents’ programme in Việt Nam as well as students joined the meeting.

As a former examinee of Chevening Scholarships, Mr Dominic Newbould provided details on the scholarships, including the application time and its specific requirements, and tips on how to apply the scholarships successfully.

At the event, he said he hoped the information would help Vietnamese students have a better understanding about the scholarships and preparing the best application. Studying abroad would be a good opportunity for Vietnamese students to immerse themselves in a professionally academic environment.

Chevening Scholarships are the UK Government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations. The scholarships are awarded to outstanding scholars with leadership potential. Awards are typically for a one-year Master’s degree at universities across the UK.
