On May 21, 2018, EV Trust awarded scholarships worth a total of more than VNĐ2.2 billion (US$95,340) to 22 students with excellent academic achievements in the 2017-2018 academic year.

The scholarships, which were allocated across different categories, were awarded to students from Đoàn Thị Điểm Secondary and High Schools in Hà Nội.

These students were those who had excellent academic performance at schools and had contribution to their communities. They were also able to meet the standards of EV Trust’s scholarship selection process.

Speaking at the event, Member of the Royal Academy of Sciences cum EV Trust Volunteer Coordinator, Mr Dominic Newbould said he hoped each scholarship worth VNĐ100 million ($4,334) would bring more chances of studying for Vietnamese students.

Through scholarships, EV Trust wanted to make a contribution to the development of education in Việt Nam, arousing the passion for learning of Vietnamese students.

With this scholarship, students will have the opportunity to access the education in the UK where 240,000 international students come to study every year.

At the event, EV Trust sent gift vouchers, which offered free English tests and helped students build their own roadmap to win EV Trust’s scholarships.

Chairman of EV Trust, Mr Peter Parkes, the school boards of the two schools, parents and students joined the event.

*EV Trust is the exclusive representative of more than 40 prestigious schools in the UK, giving the best learning environments for students in the world. These scholarships are designed for Vietnamese students to encourage them to follow their academic path.
